Designing Qualitative Research

Where do we begin? Well every qualitative research project will begin somewhere and if we think about it we can apply qualitative research to just about anything and everything around us. One can easily observe the behavior of others and or those in their surrounding areas. The researcher will begin to identify an idea that he or she may have a question to. Once the researcher identifies this question/thought he or she would like to examine then the development for qualitative research may commence. Once the idea for the research has been developed the researcher will then look to scholarly literature review for guidance and further research on the topic and or idea. Let it be known that not all data found will be specific to the topic the researcher may have chosen, but one should choose and search for literature reviews that are relevant to the study the researcher has chosen. Once the vision for the research topic has begun one can begin to anticipate the data that will be obtained. Strategies on how data collection will be obtained should be considered as well as how it will be presented.
